These fifteen sustainable kid’s clothing brands know that the little treehuggers of the planet deserve to wear eco-conscious, ethically-made threads!
Buying secondhand is probably the number one most sustainable thing you can do when it comes to outfitting your littles. (And count yourself lucky if you get hand me downs from friends and family members!)
I buy almost all of my kids’ clothing and shoes secondhand, but we’re fortunate to have a bunch of thrift store options where I live. I know that isn’t the case for everyone. I also know you can’t always find what you need, in your child’s size, when you need it.
Plus, one of the best ways to ensure that all new clothing is being produced in an eco-responsible, ethical manner is to support the brands that are already doing so. Just think – if we refused to buy items made from environmentally harmful materials, by workers who are underpaid and mistreated, this type of business model would cease to exist.
So give a big ol’ high five to the companies that have our planet’s future – and our children’s – at the front of their minds.
